Display And Presentation Of Natural Landscape Stones

Displaying ornamental stones often requires accessories to enhance their artistic appeal; common options include wooden stands, water trays, display boards, and small tables or pedestals. Among these, wooden stands made of red sandalwood or rosewood are considered the finest, while water trays are particularly well-suited for stones resembling natural landscapes, as sand can be spread within them to stabilize the stone and evoke the atmosphere of a mountain-and-water scene.

 

Harmony is essential when displaying ornamental stones in different settings. For home decor, the stones should complement the interior environment and furniture style. In professional exhibitions, the focus shifts to the harmony of the overall arrangement-including lighting, display stands, and spatial layout-to highlight the exhibits and create a unified artistic ambiance.

 

On May 13, 2025, the art of ornamental stones made its debut at the National Museum of China with the exhibition "Natural Elegance: An Exhibition of Chinese Ornamental Stone Art." Co-hosted by the China Ornamental Stone Association and the Institute of Mineral Resources of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, the exhibition centers on the appreciation of "form, texture, color, pattern, and spirit." It is organized into four thematic sections-"Elegant Forms", "Wonders of Nature", "Reflections on Time", and "Landscapes of the Realm"-and showcases high-quality display design through more than 160 exquisite ornamental stones.
