Origin And Extraction Of Wild Mountain Stone

"Wild Mountain Stone" (Ye Shan Shi) is primarily found in the mountainous areas of Yingde City, Guangdong Province; it is a type of landscape stone formed through the natural erosion of exposed, raw bedrock. This stone generally refers to *Ying* stone (*Yingshi*), a specialty of Yingde City and a product with China's National Geographical Indication status. As it originates in Yingde, it is also known as Yingde Stone. Extraction processes aim to preserve the stone's natural, weathered characteristics; common specifications range from stones sized 30–80 cm-used as accents on lawns-to large stones exceeding 1 meter in height, which serve as the focal points of rockeries.
